These features, along with the support of local government, combine to make League City the most natural destination to grow your business A local research firm conducted a recent study in partnership with the League City Economic Development Corporation. According to the study presented to the League City Chamber of Commerce by CDS Market Research of Houston in partnership with the League City Economic Development Corporation, League City residents have a lot of money to spend. The median disposable income for households is $55,647, and is expected to jump to $62,557 by 2007. This north Galveston County city is located between Houston and Galveston. Situated on both sides of the Interstate 45 corridor, League City is in the direct path of development of the greater Houston area. Currently the city has 51,173 residents. Population is expected to reach 69,057 people by the end of 2007. "The bottom line is that League City has become a sleeping giant that is about to awaken," Kent Dussair, president of CDS said. Currently, city officials are in talks for a long-range plan to turn Clear Creek into a $425 million development packed with businesses, restaurants, offices and residential sites.
